My new favorite
Really am enjoying this watch. I have one other Citizens that’s more formal with a metal van, but I’ve always liked leather bands, but the thing I’ve never liked about is having to put the metal piece through the hole and you don’t have to do that even though it looks like you have that it’s a typical Citizens where you snap it on, nothing beats not having change batteries absolute must. I will never buy a watch that needs batteries changed in the future. They’re just too much of a pain and nobody knows how to do them anymore so I’m down to two watches and they both citizen drives.
Great Dress Watch
I really like this watch. it checks almost all the boxes: good value, Eco-drive, Day/date, good looks. I have the gold tone with the champaign face and it is stunning. My only dislike is the band & deployment clasp. The band looks ok, but is stiff, made in China, and difficult to use. Maybe it is just me, but I hate a deployment clasp. For me, they are very difficult, hard to use and uncomfortable. This is my 2nd Citizen watch with a "deployment clasp". I immediately remove and replace them with a high quality strap and regular clasp, so that has to figure into the value equation for me.
Anniversary gift.
My husband loved it.
Classic style, a truly hidden gem!
I was keen to find a watch with that classic, classy appeal, which had the day-date function. After doing some (okay, a lot) of research, I was about to buy a Tissot, when I discovered this gem. The pictures on the website don't do it any kind of justice! It is beautifully finished, with the day and date windows each having upward and downward slanting frames, which catch the light and add extra eye appeal. The crystal is domed, which gives it a beautiful distortion when seen at an angle, something I wasn't expecting - an added delight. The leather strap it comes on is beautiful as well, in faux alligator. It takes no time to break it in, and is super comfortable - you'll forget you're wearing the watch. Eco-Drive means you'll get at the very least 10 years without maintenance, although I've heard it can go to 20 years or more, and with the movement being rated at +/- 15 seconds a month, but mine running at -3, I will never buy another mechanical watch! The only down-side is that it's not a perpetual calendar, but you won't find that at this price point. Gorgeous and hassle-free; if you're undecided about this piece, I highly recommend just going for it. It'll get lots of compliments, too... beautiful things will do that.
